Blog Tour- The Current Between Us Review and Giveaway

Gage Synclair, international, hard-hitting investigative photojournalist, is preparing for the final special report of his career…a story of deception and murder six long years in the making. And after ten years in some of the worst parts of the world, he’s ready to settle life down and open an art gallery in his hometown of Chicago. The only thing getting in his way, he needs to find a competent electrician to finish the job before his grand opening.

Trent Cooper, electrical contractor, is surprised by the last minute request for a fast-paced electrical remodel, wanting nothing more than to get his foot in the door with Layne Construction. Being gay in the construction industry isn’t easy, nor is being father to his two young adopted children. Trent keeps his life in separate zones to avoid a short circuit. But when the gallery owner propositions him on the first day, Trent can’t help but think his worlds are a little too close for comfort.

Will their high-voltage passion spark everlasting love or will their lives break the circuit between them forever?

Ramblings:

"Thank you for coming into my life. You've made me a whole man"

Where do I start with this book….when we got given the opportunity to do this review, I really didn't know what to expect.  As it’s my first book from Kindle Alexander and after I finished, I now know what hit me.

Current between us is a beautiful love story between two people with different backgrounds and commitments that came across each other. Was it fate, coincidences or a setup that draw them together? You'll just have to read it to find out, you will love the journey they take you upon. It’s full of excitement, rush of sexual chemistry, warm family laughter and an unexpected twist at the end.

Gage Synclair, a self committed, high demanding and passionate photojournalist that go to the worlds end for the truth. Now, after 10 years in the dangerous field he is ready to settle down in his hometown where he meets the unexpected handsome Trent Coop and his family. That changes his perspective in life, family and love.

"Your ass is what my dreams are made of… it looks good bent over like that. It’s driven me crazy for five straight days. I thought you should know"

Trent Coop, the muscular electrician, who is highly responsible, caring and the sweetest guy when it comes down to his family. Hunter and Emalynn, the two most adorable angels that he adopted, is what he lives for and revolve around. In my eye he’s the big built guy on the outside with the biggest softest tend heart in the inside.

I enjoyed this book…it was sweetness all over it…Gage and Trent was hot sugar coated with sexy cuteness and the kids, are just so adorable. I just want to give them cuddles. With lovable, realistic characters, its hard to dislike anyone but for me, the kids, Hunter and Em made the book. They are so sweet and love Trent like a real father. They are a constant beacon of hope for Trent and Gage. They took an instant liking to Gage and encouraged him to spend time with them, even when Trent was less enthusiastic about the situation. Hunter had me laughing a lot. They have a strong family unit. Tragedy has brought them all together and its because of this that Trent struggles to let his defences down.
“The teacher told us to stop, but, Daddy, I know you can beat him up. Your muscles are bigger than all the dads in my class,” Hunter said

I took my time in reading this book, slowly just like how I feel Gage and Trent’s love story developed. Both hot sexy men had instant sexual sparks and easy chemistry as soon as their eyes met, they just fell for each other. This story shows the courage, commitment, responsibility and trust between two people that follow their heart. I loved the unexpected barrier that put a challenge in their course of relationship, testing how strong they are and what you would do for what you believe is you're happy ever after.

“I would like you to walk with me, Trent. I want the world to know I found you,”
Booky Ramblings verdict:

Heart-warming and passionate with an unexpected twist
