Forever Black ~ Review

Forever Black (Forever Trilogy, #1)

When Ellery moved to New York with her boyfriend, she thought they’d live happily ever after in their small New York apartment. She never thought he’d pack his bags and leave because he “needed space.” With her newfound single status and fear of being alone, Ellery buries herself in her artwork and paintings until one night she helps a mysterious intoxicated stranger get home safely. Little did she know the mysterious stranger is none other than CEO and millionaire Connor Black. After finding Ellery in his kitchen the next morning and assuming she broke his #1 rule about sleepovers, he becomes intrigued, not only by her stubbornness and defiance, but by her kindness.

Connor Black, emotionally dead and damaged, that stemmed from a personal tragedy, made a vow to never love or fall in love with a woman, until Ellery Lane walked into his life by accident. After she opens up and shows him her world, Connor starts to feel emotions and feelings he never knew existed. Despite the rumors and warnings regarding Connor Black and his use and misuse of women, Ellery finds herself being drawn into his world.

Ellery knows they can never be together because she is harboring a deep secret that could destroy Connor emotionally forever.

Join Connor and Ellery as they embark on a journey of courage, love and strength. Will it be enough to save them?

“Infinity is forever, and that is what you are to me, you are my forever Mr. Black.”

This amazing book sucked me right in from the very first word to the very last sentence! I was hooked to the story, the characters, it was like a emotional love story rollercoaster. I just couldn't put the book down, every twist and turn was something to keep you reading until the very end. A day is all it took to complete this amazing adventure.

Connor Black is a very handsome and successful businessman and not to mention of  course he's a sex god too! But behind all perfection there is a hidden secret to the way he is.
Like every relationship it starts of being friends, however Connor Black doesn't do the term 'friends' especially not with females. He just like to have a 'friends with benefit' have fun and leave kind of guy, no strings attached, just come when he calls and its all under his terms until he meets his match Ellery Lane.

Ellery Lane has issues of her own, her life has been full of tragic from a young age but she always try to see the bright side of life and reach out to help others. You can say she is selfish at some point of the story but from her point of view i think she was trying to enjoy what she has and not asking/wishing for more. She didn't expect to fall in love, neither did Connor Black.

Sometimes you have to believe in fate as this book has shown, two people from different paths can cross and become whole. Connor would never expect Elle to be the one to turn his world back to life, fill it with love and humor. Elle couldn't imagine connor to be the shoulder she needed and the future ahead of her. Throughout the book you can see and feel how they slowly developed through the stages in the relationship, the fireworks when they are together, the tingling feeling, the chemistry it's all there. It really shows two people really love each from the very first moment and how they tackle each barriers and they own demons from the heart.

“There's no limit to what I wouldn't do for you. Just ask and it will be done, no matter the sacrifice.”

Overall, I love this book, it was one of those you couldn't sleep until the end and yep... thats what i did...panda eyes in the morning! Not a moment dragged. I really felt the characters and felt you were right there with them all the way. If YOU like a good love story then...(bit emotional in some places) this a book is to recommend!

“Because at some point you have to realize that some people can stay in your heart but not in your life and this is my way of keeping you in my heart.”
